Marin Ireland is an actress from America. She is well-known for her work in plays and movies that are not made by big studios. The New York Times called her “one of the great drama queens of the New York stage.” She got nominated for awards like the Independent Spirit Award and a Tony Award.

At first, she had small roles in the Law & Order TV shows from 2003 to 2008. But later, she got praised for being in a play called “Reasons to Be Pretty” in 2008. She also acted in movies like “Rachel Getting Married” and “The Understudy” in the same year. Her main role in “Glass Chin” in 2014 got her nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.

She played Julia Bowman in the Sneaky Pete series from 2015 to 2019. Marin Ireland has also acted in well-received movies such as “The Family Fang,” “Hell or High Water,” “Piercing,” “The Miseducation of Cameron Post,” and “The Irishman.” She played Sissy in The Umbrella Academy on Netflix from 2020 onwards and Nora Brady in the Hulu series Y: The Last Man in 2021. Her leading role in the horror film “The Dark and the Wicked” in 2020 got a lot of praise.

In her early life, Marin Ireland grew up in Camarillo, California. She learned acting at the Idyllwild Arts Foundation and got a degree in Fine Arts from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford in Connecticut.

She started her acting career in a play called “Nocturne” in 2001. Marin Ireland’s first Broadway play was “Reasons to Be Pretty” in 2009, and she got nominated for a Tony Award for it.

Apart from acting, she has narrated several audiobooks, winning an Audie Award for Best Female Narrator in 2020 for her work on “Nothing to See Here” by Kevin Wilson.
