Macy Rodman is a singer, comedian, podcaster, and artist from America. Her music mixes punk and rock with pop beats from the 90s. People compare her to other artists like Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, and Madonna. She has made three albums: The Lake, Endless Kindness, and Unbelievable Animals.
Macy was born in Juneau, Alaska, in 1989. When she was 18 in 2008, she moved to New York City to study at Parsons School of Design, but she dropped out. Macy is transgender and started her transition when she moved to the city. Now she lives in Brooklyn, New York.
After moving to New York, Macy got into the drag scene in Brooklyn. She started hosting a drag show called Bathsalts. In 2022, she was on the cover of My Comrade, a magazine about drag.
Macy released her first EP, Help, in 2016. Her first two albums, The Lake and Endless Kindness, came out in 2017 and 2019. She released remix EPs for her songs “Berlin” and “Vaseline” in 2020. In 2021, she signed with Accidental Popstar Records and released her third album, Unbelievable Animals. She wrote the songs during the COVID-19 lockdown, and they’re about heartbreak and pandemic anxiety. In 2022, she produced Ysak’s single “Crossroads.” On March 4, 2022, she released a remix EP of Unbelievable Animals called Uncontrollable Flammables. In 2023, she remixed Softee’s song “Isn’t Enough.”
Macy also hosts a comedy podcast called Nymphowars with Theda Hammel.
