Keith Poulson was born in Fresno, California, but he didn’t stay there. He moved to different places like Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas when he was a child. He went to Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas, and later to the University of Texas at Austin. He studied Radio-Television-Film and English there. After finishing his studies, he got a job at the Austin Film Society, which is a non-profit organization started by Richard Linklater.
