Jyothika Saravanan is an Indian actress and movie producer. She mostly acts in Tamil films, but she has also been in Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi movies. Jyothika has won many awards for her acting, including a National Film Award and several Filmfare Awards.
She started her acting career in 1997 with a Hindi movie called “Doli Saja Ke Rakhna.” Her first Tamil movie was “Vaali” in 1999, and her first Telugu movie was “Tagore” in 2003. She has acted in many successful films like “Kushi,” “Kaakha Kaakha,” and “Chandramukhi.”
Jyothika took a break from acting when she married Tamil actor Suriya in 2006. She made a comeback in 2015 with the movie “36 Vayadhinile,” which received positive reviews. After that, she starred in several women-centric movies like “Magalir Mattum” and “Naachiyaar.”
Jyothika was born on October 18, 1978, to a Punjabi Hindu father and a Maharashtrian Muslim mother. She has a sister named Roshini and a brother named Suraj. Jyothika completed her schooling in Mumbai and later studied Psychology at Mithibai College.
She has worked in Telugu and Malayalam films too. Her husband, Suriya, is also an actor, and they have two children together: a daughter named Diya and a son named Dev.
