James Michael Cummings was born on April 20, 1968, in South Boston, Massachusetts. He is an American actor, writer, and producer. He started Broadvision Entertainment, a company he leads as CEO. One of his movies, called Southie, won an award at the Seattle International Film Festival.
Cummings learned acting in New York and Los Angeles. He acted in plays like Dumb Waiter and The Street Poet. He also produced a play called Tom Topor’s Answers. Later, he acted in films like Close Up and The Compulsion. Then, he decided to make his own movie, Southie. He wrote the story, got money to make it, found a director, and cast actors like Donnie Wahlberg and Rose McGowan. Southie was shown in many festivals and won Best Picture at one of them.
He also worked for a company called Silent Partner Entertainment and produced TV shows and documentaries. He wrote scripts for movies and sold them to big companies like 20th Century Fox and Warner Brothers. He even coached actors like Donnie Wahlberg.
From 2007 to 2012, Cummings worked at Gigapix Studios. He produced a war documentary called Baker Boys: Inside The Surge and helped with a popular show on Comedy Central called Workaholics.
Right now, he’s acting in a TV series called City on a Hill. He’s also making a new movie called SOS, and working on a TV series called White Noose.
