Jaina Lee Ortiz is an actress and dancer from America. She became famous for playing Detective Annalise Villa in the TV show called Rosewood from 2015 to 2017. After that, in 2018, she started acting in another TV series called Station 19.
When she was young, Jaina was born on November 20, 1986, in California but grew up in The Bronx, New York. Her dad, Joe Ortiz, used to work as a detective in the police. Jaina started dancing when she was nine, learning salsa and mambo. At fifteen, she began teaching dancing. By the time she was sixteen, she was traveling to different countries to teach and perform.
Jaina’s acting journey began with small roles in student films. She learned acting at Maggie Flanigan Studios for two years.
In 2009, Jaina joined a TV show called Scream Queens, where she competed to win a role in a movie. Even though she didn’t win, it was a big opportunity for her.
She appeared in a photo in an episode of Modern Family in 2012. Then in 2013, she got a regular role in a show called The After, but unfortunately, it got canceled in 2015.
Jaina’s big break came when she got the role of Detective Villa in Rosewood. She also appeared in Shooter and played herself in the movie Girls Trip.
In 2017, Jaina got another big role in a TV show called Station 19, which is a spin-off of Grey’s Anatomy.
In 2023, Jaina starred in two movies, Righteous Thieves and The Long Game.
