Henry Ewan Golding is an actor from England. He was born in Malaysia on February 5, 1987. Golding has been on a TV show called The Travel Show since 2014. He became famous for acting in movies like Crazy Rich Asians (2018), Snake Eyes (2021), A Simple Favor (2018), and Last Christmas (2019).

Early Life:

Golding was born in Sarawak, Malaysia. His mom, Margaret Likan Golding, is from Sarawak and his dad, Clive Golding, is English. They lived in Malaysia for five years and then moved to Surrey, England, when Henry was eight. He went to The Warwick School in Redhill. When he was 21, he moved to Kuala Lumpur to be in front of the camera after working as a hairdresser in London.

Career:

In 2017, Golding got his big break in Crazy Rich Asians. After that, he acted in A Simple Favor and Last Christmas. He also starred in The Gentlemen (2019) and Monsoon. In 2019, he was cast in the lead role in Snake Eyes, a spin-off from the G.I. Joe movie series.

Upcoming Projects:

Henry Golding will reprise his role in two sequels to Crazy Rich Asians. These movies are currently in pre-production.

Personal Life:

Golding met Liv Lo, a Taiwanese presenter and yoga instructor, on New Year’s Day in 2011. They got engaged in 2015 and married in August 2016 in Sarawak. They have two daughters born in 2021 and 2023. Before getting married, Golding completed a traditional rite of passage called bejalai in Borneo, which he filmed for a documentary series. He also got a special tattoo during this experience.

Golding mentioned that his last name has a Jewish connection. During World War II, his grandfather was in London and may have been adopted by a Jewish family with the last name Golding. Out of respect, he took on their name, and it has been passed down in the family.
