Garrett John Hedlund is an American actor and musician. He was born on September 3, 1984, in Roseau, Minnesota. His movies include Troy (2004), Friday Night Lights (2004), Tron: Legacy (2010), and The Marsh King’s Daughter (2023).

Garrett grew up on a farm in Wannaska, Minnesota, and later moved to Arizona in 9th grade. He liked reading and played sports like hockey, track and field, wrestling, and football. He worked as a waiter to pay for acting lessons and moved to Los Angeles after high school.

In 2003, at 19, he started his acting career in the film Troy. He also acted in movies like Friday Night Lights (2004) and Four Brothers (2005). In 2010, he played the main role in Tron: Legacy.

He has been in relationships with Kirsten Dunst from 2012 to 2016 and later with Emma Roberts, with whom he has a son named Rhodes Robert Hedlund, born on December 27, 2020. The couple split in January 2022.
