Frederick Nicholas Thorp is a British actor. He was born on March 7, 1994. You might have seen him in action movies like “Overdrive” from 2017, or on Netflix in shows like “Safe” in 2018 and “Fate: The Winx Saga” from 2021 to 2022.
Early Life:
Thorp was born in London, in an area called Kensington and Chelsea. His parents are Nick Thorp and Antonia Manley. He has an older sister named Ophelia.
Thorp went to Summer Fields School in Oxford, and later attended Eton College. At Eton, he was classmates with another actor named Jonah Hauer-King. In 2013, Thorp spent his summer in New York City, studying acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. That same year, he started studying Psychology at the University of Exeter, where he also acted in theater.
Career:
In 2016, Thorp had his first acting role in a movie called “To Dream”. He got nominated for an award as the best new male actor at the British Urban Film Festival in 2017.
In 2017, he played a character named Garrett Foster in “Overdrive”. They filmed those scenes in Marseille, France.
From 2021 onwards, you could see Thorp playing Riven in the TV series “Fate: The Winx Saga”. His character changed a bit from season one to season two. Thorp enjoyed playing a “bad boy” because it let him act in ways he wouldn’t in real life. He also said viewers could relate to his character being bisexual. Unfortunately, the show got canceled after two seasons.
In 2022, Thorp acted as Michael, a mountain climber, in a movie called “Summit Fever”. He had to climb real mountains like the Eiger, Matterhorn, and Mont Blanc for the film.
