Dimple Kapadia was born on June 8, 1957, in Bombay, India. She is an actress who mostly acts in Hindi movies. She grew up in Mumbai with wealthy parents. Dimple always wanted to be an actress and got her first chance because of her father’s efforts. She was discovered by filmmaker Raj Kapoor when she was 14 years old. He gave her the lead role in the movie “Bobby” in 1973, which became very popular and made her famous. Dimple got married to actor Rajesh Khanna just before the release of “Bobby” and stopped acting. They had two daughters, Twinkle and Rinke, who also briefly acted in movies.

Dimple returned to acting in 1984 after separating from Khanna and her comeback movie “Saagar” revived her career. Over the years, she acted in many different types of movies, winning awards for her performances in films like “Kaash”, “Drishti”, “Lekin…”, and “Rudaali”. She also played supporting roles in several successful movies. Dimple became more selective about her roles in the mid-1990s and continued to act in movies and TV shows, gaining recognition for her work in both Indian and international projects.

Dimple Kapadia was born into a wealthy family in Bombay on June 8, 1957. Her parents were Chunibhai Kapadia and Bitti Kapadia. She was the eldest of four siblings. Dimple grew up in Santacruz, Mumbai, and went to St Joseph’s Convent High School. Her father faced opposition from his family for supporting her acting career.

At 15, she married actor Rajesh Khanna, whom she admired a lot. They had two daughters but separated in 1982. Dimple faced many challenges in her marriage, including infidelity. Despite never officially divorcing, she and Khanna remained on amicable terms. Dimple focused on her career and took care of her family after their separation. She was by Khanna’s side until his death in 2012. Dimple is an art lover and also started a candle-making business called The Faraway Tree in 1998.

Dimple always wanted to be an actress and got her first break in the movie “Bobby” at the age of 14. The movie was a huge success, and Dimple won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance. After marrying Rajesh Khanna, she took a break from acting but returned in 1984 with the movie “Saagar”. Her role in “Saagar” earned her another Filmfare Award. She continued to act in various movies, gaining praise for her performances in different genres. Dimple also appeared in international projects like “Tenet” and “Pathaan”.
