Chhaya Kadam is an actress from India. She mostly acts in Marathi and Hindi movies. Some of her best movies include Fandry (2013), Sairat (2016), Jhund (2022), Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), Redu (2018), and Nude (2018). She won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 56th Maharashtra State Film Awards for Nude.

Chhaya Kadam was born in Kalina, Mumbai. Her dad worked in a mill, and her family was middle-class. She went to Sathaye College in Vile Parle and studied Textile Design. She also played kabaddi at the state level. She liked acting since school and college days.

Chhaya started acting on stage first. Then, in 2009, she began acting in movies. Her first stage play was Zulva. Her first movie, Baimanus (2010), was never released. After that, she acted in films like Mi Sindhutai Sapkal (2010), Baboo Band Baaja (2011), and Kuni Ghar Deta Ka Ghar (2013). Her first Hindi movie was Singham Returns (2013). Her big break came with Fandry (2013), where she played Nani. She did well in movies like Highway (2015) and Gour Hari Dastaan (2015).

In 2016, she acted in Sairat, which was a huge hit. She played a Telugu woman running a dosa store. She even learned Telugu for the role. She got nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for this role. She acted in many other movies like Babanchi Shala (2016), Taleem, Vees Mhanje Vees, and Budhia Singh – Born to Run. In 2018, she starred in Nude and Redu, which got her critical acclaim. She also acted in Andhadhun (2018) and Zelya (2018).

In 2019, she was in Aatpadi Nights. She got nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. She appeared in Hutatma Season 2 and made her TV debut in Mere Sai (2020).

In 2022, Nay Varanbhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha, her movie, faced controversy due to its trailer. But it won praise upon release. She acted in Soyrik and played a big role. She also starred in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Jhund, gaining recognition for her roles. She acted in other films like Kaun Pravin Tambe?, Bharat Maza Desh Aaze, and Yere Yera Pausa. Her upcoming movies include Laapata Ladies (2023) and Pedigree (2023).
