Robert Boyd Holbrook is an American actor. He acted in the Netflix series Narcos and The Sandman. He was born on September 1, 1981, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, to Ellen and Don Holbrook. He has a sister named Delora Holbrook.
Holbrook started as a carpenter at Jenny Wiley Theatre in Kentucky and was discovered there. He then signed with Elite Models in 2001 and worked for various agencies and designers like Dior, Gucci, and Calvin Klein. He also modeled alongside Omahyra Mota.
Apart from acting, Holbrook is a photographer and sculptor. He exhibited his artwork in 2008 at the Rare gallery in New York. He released poems on Model-Max.com and studied acting at the William Esper Studio and voice and speech at Shane Ann Younts’ program. He received a certificate in 16mm film from New York University.
In his acting career, Holbrook appeared in movies like The Skeleton Twins, A Walk Among the Tombstones, Logan, and The Predator. He played DEA agent Steve Murphy in Narcos and starred in the Netflix thriller In the Shadow of the Moon.
Holbrook played The Corinthian in the Netflix adaptation of The Sandman. He was also cast in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, where he learned from Harrison Ford and defended the movie’s conclusion.
In his personal life, Holbrook was engaged to Elizabeth Olsen, but they ended it in 2015. He is currently married to Danish artist Tatiana Pajkovic, and they have a son named Day, born on January 15, 2018.
