Arjun Das is an actor from India. He mostly acts in Tamil movies but has also been in a few Telugu ones. People know him best for playing Anbu in the movie Kaithi, which came out in 2019. He’s famous for his deep voice.
Arjun started his acting career in 2012 with a suspense movie called Perumaan. After that, he appeared in other films and short movies. In Kaithi, he played the bad guy, a leader of a gang hooked on cocaine. Then, he worked with the same director again in another movie called Master, where he played Das, one of the main characters.
Before becoming an actor, Arjun used to work as a banker in Dubai. But he left that job to try acting in Chennai. He used to be overweight but lost a lot of weight before joining the Tamil film industry.
In one of his early movies, Perumaan, Arjun was praised for his performance. Besides acting, he also worked as a radio jockey. He says that job helped him build a fan base because of his voice. He’s even acted in a Telugu movie called Oxygen, speaking Tamil in his scenes.
When he was asked to be in Kaithi, Arjun wasn’t sure at first because his character was very important. But after auditioning, he got the part of the main bad guy. He didn’t prepare much for his roles but did some research, especially for playing a drug addict. People loved his performance and his voice in Kaithi, so the director, Lokesh Kanagaraj, cast him again in Master. In Master, he played a role controlling kids with drugs.
Arjun’s latest movie is Andhaghaaram, where he plays a coach struggling with guilt. He has some more movies coming up, like Kumki 2, where he plays a character with mixed morals, and Dhruva Natchathiram, where he lent his voice for a villain character. He’s also going to be the lead in a movie directed by Anwar Rasheed.
