Andie MacDowell was born on April 21, 1958, in Gaffney, South Carolina. She is an American actress and used to be a model. Her early films include Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984) and St. Elmo’s Fire (1985). She became famous for her role in Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989).

Andie has acted in many movies like Green Card (1990), Groundhog Day (1993), Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), and more. She is also known for supporting roles in films like Beauty Shop (2005) and Magic Mike XXL (2015). Andie even acted alongside her daughter in the Netflix show Maid (2021).

In her personal life, Andie was married to Paul Qualley, and they had three children. They divorced in 1999. After that, she dated actor Dennis Quaid for a year. In 2001, she married Rhett Hartzog, but they divorced in 2004. As of 2013, she lives in Marina del Rey, California.
