Alok Chatterjee is a famous actor and director from India. He’s well-known for his work in theatre, such as plays like “Death of a Salesman,” “Nat Samrat,” and “#Anandmath,” which is his latest play from 2022. He teaches at NSD and FTII, which are schools for acting in India. He also taught acting at Anupam Kher’s institute in Mumbai. Right now, he’s teaching acting at Madhya Pradesh Natya Vidyalaya in Bhopal. He’s really good at acting and knows a lot about literature. He won a gold medal for acting from the National School of Drama in Delhi. Nowadays, he mainly does theatre in his hometown, Bhopal. In 2019, he got the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, which is a big honor in India. He received it from the president of India in New Delhi.

Alok Chatterjee was born in Madhya Pradesh, India, into a Hindu family. He got a scholarship to study at the National School of Drama in New Delhi in 1987. Actor Irrfan Khan was his classmate there. When he was in Mumbai, he faced some problems like alcohol and chaos, which made things difficult for him. He says it was tough, but he believes it was the effect of something that happened many years ago.
