Addison Riecke was born on January 26, 2004, in Covington, Louisiana, which is near New Orleans. She found out she loved acting, singing, and playing music when she was only four years old. At eight, she started appearing on TV and in commercials for Lunchables and Playstation.
Addison got a big break when she became part of Nickelodeon’s popular show, The Thundermans, where she played Nora Thunderman. The show was about a family of superheroes trying to live a normal life. It premiered in 2013 and won a Kids’ Choice Award in 2016.
Now, Addison is working on the third season of A Girl Named Jo, where she plays Cathy. The show is set in 1963 and follows the friendship of Cathy and Jo as they uncover their town’s history. It airs on the digital network Brat.
Addison’s first movie was The Beguiled, set in 1864 during the Civil War. She played Marie in the film alongside Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, and Colin Farrell. The movie premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
She also starred in Banana Split, a film about unexpected friendship during the transition from high school to college. Addison played Agnes, the younger sister. The film premiered at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Festival.
Apart from her acting career, Addison is a generous person. She raised money for the Red Cross in 2013, donated birthday gifts to children in the hospital, and supported anti-bullying causes. She also raised funds for Write Brain Gives, a program that helps children express themselves through writing.
In her free time, Addison likes playing the ukulele, cooking, reading, and practicing screenwriting. She’s an animal lover and has two rescue cats named Maddie and Hannah, two rescue dogs named Scout and Pippa, and a boxer named Coco.
