The movie features many well-known actors, including Charles Edwin Powell, Danielle Harris, Jeffrey Combs, Dee Wallace, Tim Reid, Mark Holton, Felissa Rose, Tony Todd, Daniel Roebuck, Dave Sheridan, Terry Alexander, Damian Maffei, and David Howard Thornton. Some people working on Stream also worked on the horror movies Terrifier, Terrifier 2, and the upcoming Terrifier 3. Fans partly fund the movie through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. So far, they have raised over $180,000 from horror fans worldwide, using the hashtag #JoinTheStream to promote it. Stream is set to be released in theaters on August 21, 2024.
